Here’s a list of 5 things that I’ve been enjoying and learning about in May:
- What I’m happy about:
I’ve turned 30!! I know, most people grieve over increasing their age, and I thought I’d join them. I’m actually excited for it and believe that the best days are ahead! If you’ve not already, please read my birthday special blog post: ‘30 lessons at 30’ here.
- Podcast I’ve been learning from:
I find a lot of Church leadership material comes from the USA, and I love much of it, however it’s been really refreshing to listen in to Scottish leaders talk about faith, church and the vision to see Scotland transformed by the power of the gospel. I’d recommend Dez’s interview with Dave Richards, rector of Ps&Gs in Edinburgh.
- Book I’ve been reading:
I’d first discovered Joshua Gagnon’s leadership podcast and listened to that for the past year. His book ‘It’s not over’ is full of hope and realism about pursuing God-sized dreams. If you’ve faced disappointment and felt discouraged recently about your hopes and dreams to make a difference for God then check this out.
- Series I’ve been watching:
I’m only starting season 3 but I’m enjoying The Good Place as a light-hearted show to switch off to. At the beginning I found most of the characters quite annoying but there’s plenty of character development and a surprising amount of twists and turns along the way.
- An article that’s worth reading:
